These three seem like they are owned and operated by older white gay men…which makes sense for financing / access to investors… but they probably need to market to a general LBTGQ crowd to get business, not just because of lack of gay tourism due to Covid but also because of the fake 'kum ba ya' the overall LGBTQ community feels it must project. Then I visited the bar's site and then its Yelp reviews. What’s the story with these three gay bars in NYC? I saw an ad on FB for Playhouse-it was of a hot shirtless bouncer or bartender, and a real guy, not a professional ad.he looked like a good roll in the hay-and then, as trained, I clicked through and read the comments.
